Paul Gittins
Paul Gittins is a multi media artist working with light and sound.
He has developed a unique optical system that uses handmade paper pixels to divide light into pattern. Translucent screens containing a matrix of paper cells are used to create a new form of shadow theatre.
The Electric Shadow House has been installed at outdoor festivals, Glastonbury, Big Chill etc. and in galleries and theatres. Dancers and musicians create a mesmerising animation in real time. The screens can also be activated by television, sunlight and video projection.
Continuing his work with analogue technology he has recently developed an automatic orchestra using oak apples powered by clock motors.

The above artist has enrolled in Kinetica Museum's artist member programmeKinetica's membership scheme was launched in November 2010, and aims to provide Kinetica with the opportunity to extend it’s artist network whilst fostering emerging talent. Oxygen members are entitled to a profile on the Kinetica Museum’s website, and gain access to Kinetica's interim exhibitions as well as our networks. This year Kinetica is focusing on an international tour, our artist members will have the opportunity to be involved and submit work for the following tour. In December 2013, a group of Kinetica’s Artist Members will be selected for a member’s exhibition in 2014.
