Tamas Szvet enthusiastically plays with the opportunities offered by the latest technological inventions. Szvet uses these innovations in a socio-critical and experimental way. His works of art are integrated through their conceptual content and minimal use of materials, often using elements such as light, color, motion and electronic gadgets within his sculptors, which allow them to be interpreted not only as installations within their own surroundings, but also highlights the relevance of their involvement with the viewer. Objects and installations that Tamas Szvet creates, are often rather experimental but also conceptual. The science and the art receive a central focus in his work, concerned with the relation of the technique and the concepts such as, the levitation, illusion, materiality and immateriality. Szvet looks for solutions that try to answer to art theory questions through the applied repeated techniques. Lengthy art history and scientific research precede the creating activity, so the research has become a basic act of Tamas Szvet's work.

OXYGEN: Artist Membership Programme
The above artist has enrolled in Kinetica Museum's artist member programme
Kinetica's membership scheme was launched in November 2010, and aims to provide Kinetica with the opportunity to extend our artist network whilst fostering emerging talent. This membership level provides another access point for practitioners to show work at our annual art fair, where over forty exhibitors take up stands in order to show and sell their work. Oxygen members are entitled to a profile on our Kinetica Museum website, and gain access to Kinetica's interim exhibitions as well as our networks. The feature exhibition at the 2013 fair will be comprised of artworks created by our artist members. The feature exhibition is curated by Kinetica Museum's Artistic Director Dianne Harris, and the final selectins will be announced in Autumn 2012. For more information on our artist membership scheme, please visit the MEMBERSHIP section of this website.
