Tengiz Sepiashvili

Tengiz Sepiashvilli (Sepo) is a contemporary Georgian artist who has worked in architecture, fine art and exhibition design. He was an author and co-author of Georgian Pavilions, published in 17 countries. Tengiz was awarded the Gold (Zagreb, Dijon) and Silver (Moscow) medals and Medal of Honour in the Georgian Republic (1998). In June 2010, Tengiz had a solo exhibition entitled ‘Postmodern Mobiles’.

From 1979, Tengiz’s main focus lay in graphic design and images. From 2008, Tengiz began to create drawings that mix graphic and pop art. These drawings symbolise a desire to leave behind flatness and to do something new. All these works are presented in portfolios ‘Sepographic’ (2006) and ‘Sepo portfolio’ (2009).

Continuing in this direction, from January 2010, Tengiz began to work on kinetic sculptures. Each of these sculptures tells their own story: in them you can see Tengiz’s perception of the world.

OXYGEN: Artist Membership Programme

The above artist has enrolled in Kinetica Museum's artist member programme

Kinetica's membership scheme was launched in November 2010, and aims to provide Kinetica with the opportunity to extend our artist network whilst fostering emerging talent. This membership level provides another access point for practitioners to show work at our annual art fair, where over forty exhibitors take up stands in order to show and sell their work. Oxygen members are entitled to a profile on our Kinetica Museum website, and gain access to Kinetica's interim exhibitions as well as our networks. The feature exhibition at the 2013 fair will be comprised of artworks created by our artist members. The feature exhibition is curated by Kinetica Museum's Artistic Director Dianne Harris, and the final selectins will be announced in Autumn 2012. For more information on our artist membership scheme, please visit the MEMBERSHIP section of this website.
