Saturday 7th December, 7pm till midnight

BL-NK, 37 East Road, London N1 6AZ

To launch Kinetica’s partnership with the stunning new BL-NK space in Shoreditch, we will be hosting an audiovisual performance event and exhibition on the evening of Saturday 7th December.

Kimatica will be performing their new interactive body mapping show ‘Animal Myth’, in which surreal costumes, sound and light combine to induce a hypnotic experience, playing with visual perception to take the viewer on an intensely powerful trip through colour, light, darkness and transformation.

For the first time PRICKIMAGE will blur the realities of Kimatica’s ‘Animal Myth’ narrative with their unique ‘Walkabout Projections’.

Internationally recognised video artists and producers Addictive TV will be performing selected tracks from their inspirational project ‘Orchestra of Samples’, in a new version created specially for Kinetica. Having spent the last few years filming musicians all over the world, from South America to West Africa and across Europe, they have recorded over 100 musicians playing a multitude of instruments in over 20 countries. Creating new music by sampling all these different musicians who never met and who improvised separately, this is a unique and compelling performance.

Kinetica will be showing a series of dynamic artworks and installations including ‘Pulsar’ by Balint Bolygo. Pulsar uses a combination of rotating and fixed mirrors and a strong laser source to achieve an total internal reflection on a concave circular mirror. Other artists exhibiting include Chris Levine, Ivan Black and Neil Mendoza. Also on show will be a selection of digital artworks curated by onedotzero.

Ticket prices: £7 in advance, £10 on the door
