4th – 7th February 2010

Ambika P3, Marylebone, London, UK

Kinetica Art Fair 2010 took place in February 2010 at Ambika P3 exhibition space, a 14,000 sq ft multi-disciplinary arts venue at 35, Marylebone Rd (opposite Madame Taussauds). KAF2010 was the second art fair run by Kinetica, and was bigger in all respects to our 2009 fair. Alongside the diverse selection of exhibitors who show at the Art Fair, Kinetica curate a feature exhibition and events programme.

The 2010 feature exhibition was curated in conjunction with John Dunbar and Jasia Reichardt, and dedicated to the pioneers and ‘Masters’ of kinetic art. Many of the pieces shown were on loan from private collections as well as original interactive installations from the 1968 exhibition of cybernetic art, Cybernetic Serendipity. This exhibition opened up both the historical and contemporary context of kinetic and new media art, allowing visitors to interact with rarely exhibited works of a unique nature.
