Mini Takeaway - Creative Computing Workshop

  2/6/2007 2 - 5pm

More and more people are transforming themselves from media consumers to producers - using the new tools, software and technologies now at their disposal. An extension of TAKEAWAY, the Festival of Do-It-Yourself Media, this workshop will help you to understand what it's all about and how to take part.

David Muth - a London based musician, programmer and artist – will introduce Processing – a free, open-source programming language and development platform aimed at "creatives" and very accessible for those with little previous experience. David will present a range of projects and custom made tools that use this software and provide 'hands-on' opportunities for you to play and experiment for yourselves. The main focus of this workshop will be on sound and attendees should bring their own laptop.

£7 / £5 concessions

This workshop is free to members of community groups and schools in the Spitalfields area as well as local residents. This has been made possible thanks to support from Arts and Business New Partners. Please contact us for further information.
