Julie Freeman uses technology to explore and discover rhythms and patterns in predictable and unpredictable systems through audio, space and visualisation. Frequently working in the space linking art, nature and technology, she experiments in transforming complex processes into sound compositions and animation. The resulting dynamic artworks have a clean aesthetic and often play with the perspective of the listener or viewer within spaces. Her current works investigate objectifying sound, giving it a physical presence in a space, to enable the listener to control and interact with the sonic landscape.
