Spaceman Technologies

Spaceman Technologies, aka Andrew Fentem, has been carrying out independent electronics research and building exotic electronic systems since 2001. He has received an award for multitouch-touchscreen research from the national Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts (NESTA). He has worked for several years in military R&D on cutting-edge research projects in the fields of human-computer interaction, computer science, data visualization and innovation management. The Tactile Interactive Sequencer was developed for novice musicians and behaves as a musical score that is written by touch. Easy to use, musical compositions can be constructed by arranging small round magnets upon the interface of the device, or by pressing its surface. Colorful graphics offer guidelines to help construct pieces, or it can be played improvisationally for real-time performances.
