HuM-ART

HuM-ART: Hermine Reidinger/Michael Sardelic

In our joint projects we as an artist pair, develop, design and create photo-kinetic objects also known as mobile. Central themes of our work are human being, the instability and fragility of life, living space or human social structure and their changes. These topics are told in the way of moving images as three dimensional objects about people which are located at different levels in their own cosmos. The levitation is shown in the type of presentation, to float images and objects in space via mobile. The imagination of the viewer will be brought to float together through the form of presentation and the image content. By rotating and moving the characters with this kinetic object into new positions, the stories of the protagonists are always changing and retold in a different way.

Also the impression, the mood, the intentions, are constantly changing. The object never can be seen in its entirety by the recipient. The elements consist of two sides, the expression and significance of connections and differences are in a constant (moving) process and stimulate the imagination of the viewer.

Aluminum cubes made of aluminum profiles, conceived for the hanging and presentation of photo-kinetic objects in the room, form a separate room within a room, a cosmos in which the mobile moves and transforms the room continually.

Used materials are high quality print on UV-resistant foil, solvent printing, laminated on aluminum Dibond and contour cut, each piece with front and back, industrial velcro, aluminum tubes, aluminum profiles.
