In February and March 2008 Kinetica was invited to curate and install a feature exhibition at FORMLondon, held in the Olympia Exhibition Centre in Kensington. Universal Man, the exhibition that arose from this invitation, blurred the lines between scientific investigation and artistic provocation, presenting man, the universe and the machine as one.

Featuring the work of renowned artists, and Kinetica’s regular collaborators - Jim Bond, Balint Bolygo, Nik Ramage, Max Streicher and Elias Crespin - Universal Man explored our relationship to energy, matter and motion through a series of expressive mechanical compositions. These works coalesce their balanced, moving and resisting components into a harmonious state, reflecting and commenting upon the unpredictable but ever-present invisible forces that surround us.
