MAGIC : Sinkka Art Museum Finland

The exhibition features the works of international visionaries in art and magic who have filled Kerava’s Sinkka museum with magical kinetic machines, curiously moving houseplants, a ghost seeking escape and a portal into other dimensions.
The pieces on display bring us face to face with the extraordinary, into a world where everything is simultaneously possible and impossible.

The exhibition takes a look at the shared history of film and magic. Featured are works by Finnish and international artists, including the magicians Etienne Saglio and Tobias Dostal and kinetic grand master Gregory Barsamian.
‘Die Falle’ a major work by Barsamian is part of Kinetica’s collection on loan to Sinkka for this mesmerising exhibition.

The curator of the exhibition is magician and stage director Kalle Nio, whose artistic work combines elements of magic, visual arts, cinema, circus and theatre. Nio is a founding member of the internationally renowned performing arts group WHS.
